Hahlawah Preserve is comprised of 11 acres over three non-contiguous parcels.  The two larger parcels were designated Open Space Forestland with the smaller one of the two surrounding Ball Pond Brook.  The smallest parcel is on Ball Pond.  It is deeded with community access rights to the pond for passive water recreation via a tiny “beach” and provides a buffer zone for pond protection. There is a small water-side trail on this parcel, complete with bog bridge and seating. This lovely “jewel box” is a small haven in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
