Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust board member Sharon Danosky and Deer Pond Farm director Cathy Hagadorn, took Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust hikers on a two-mile guided tour of pristine hardwood forest, meadows, and wetlands. Cathy provided an amazing amount of knowledge on the plant and animal habitat there, and made it a wonderful, interactive experience!
Quick Nugget: The Connecticut Audubon Society received a generous bequest in 2017, from the estate of Kathryn D. Wriston, of 835 acres of rugged hardwood forest, meadows, and wetlands straddling the state border of Connecticut and New York.
