Loving our Lands: Summer Photo Contest Fundraiser

July 10 @ 12:00 am - August 27 @ 11:59 pm

**EXTENDED TO AUGUST 27TH**

CVRLT’s second annual “Loving our Lands” summer photo contest is officially LIVE! ☀️📸 From now until August 20th, we’re inviting nature-loving photographers to submit photos for the following categories:

▪️Animal Kingdom 🐦: Found an interesting critter somewhere in the great outdoors? Action shots of birds, bugs, and all manner of beasts are sometimes hard to get, but delightful to behold
▪️Nature in Bloom 🌼: Whether it’s the beauty of a tree’s leaves unfurling or blossoms of flowers or gardens, photographs of nature’s blossoms are loved by many
▪️Look Up! ☁️: The sky may not be falling, but it may be beautiful! Photograph the clouds, the skies, flying creatures, and all things that we stop to look up at

▪️Took a Hike! 🥾: A photographer lover’s favorite! Loved the view or took the path less traveled? Traversed an amazing landscape? We would love to see photographs you took wherever your travels led you

Your donation of $20 for each photo entry (which is unlimited) will support CVRLT in protecting the land we love. One winner for each of the four categories will be selected through online voting, and each vote is only $1, with a $5 minimum. Anyone (including you) can vote as many times as they like for their favorite photograph(s) in each of the four categories. Hudson Valley photographer, Maureen Lohan-Bremer, will select one additional photograph for the grand prize of Best in Show.

The best way to improve your chance of winning is by encouraging everyone you know to vote for YOUR photograph, so be sure to invite your friends and family to vote!

Please note: The Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust is an accredited 501c3 nonprofit conservation organization with the sole mission of preserving natural resources in the Candlewood Valley Region. Our goal is to permanently protect properties with significant conservation value, connect people with the land, and educate the public about critical conservation issues we are facing each day. Your participation in our photo contest directly serves to help improve and maintain conserved properties; our work is entirely volunteer and donor-driven.
