Don’t miss this family-friendly hike where you may see some of the 100 species of birds have been reported on the property, including forest birds such as Broad-winged Hawk and Scarlet Tanager, marsh birds such as Virginia Rail, and others such as American Woodcock, Eastern Towhee, and Chestnut-sided Warbler. Deer Pond Farm is also home to a variety of butterfly species, bobcat, beaver and even black bear.
Dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, bug spray and drinking water.
